I can completely understand your problem as I had also faced similar situation few days back. Fortunately, my friend is a computer expert and helped me in finding the location of Scanpst.exe on windows 7. since the files are hidden, the general users face problem in locating Scanpst.exe and you need to unhide the files and folders first. You have to change the settings and follow the recommended steps to show hidden files and folders
Click on Start Button and select My Computer option. Then click on Organize option to find Folder and Search Options. Then select view Tab and enable the option by clicking it to show hidden files and folders.
Once these steps are completed, you can find the Windows 7 Scanpst.exe location by following the path as
Start My Computer > select Program files> select MS Office > Select Office 12 > Find Scanpst.exe
Once the Scanpst.exe is located, run the application and select the PST file by browsing and selecting the PST file to be scanned and repaired. Alternatively you can also try third party Outlook PST repair tool scan and repair the PST file corruption on Windows 7.
