Hello, CRC or Cyclical Redundancy Check is the general process that is carried out by the system for implementing reliability of the PST data. It detects any modification or change in the data to be transferred across the network or which is stored on the drive. The Outlook uses CRC each time when the PST file is accessed. However, if you are encountering CRC error, it indicates there is some problem related to PST files and hard drive or may be it has suffered corruption. It suggests severe Outlook problem related to the location of PST files. There are several causes for the Outlook 2007 CRC error such as virus attack, improper system shutdown due to Power failure, oversized PST files, software or hardware malfunction. The above mentioned factors might severely corrupt PST files.
If you cannot access the data stored in the Outlook due to CRC error, try restoring the data with the latest backup. However, you can also try Scanpst.exe or inbox tool repair, an inbuilt utility that repairs the PST file corruption. Alternatively, you can also try third party PST repair tool to repair corrupted PST files and fix CRC Error.
