Outlook users might face this problem due to Outlook current profile error. This prevents the smooth running of Outlook applications, as a result users are unable to use Outlook's import and export wizard. There might be various reasons for the following error such as:
when the current Outlook profile and PST files have common name
PST is enabled with read-only attributes
corrupted outlook profile
PST files to be imported are damaged
However, if you are encountering the error messages due to any of the following reasons, it is advised to follow the below mentioned steps:
Firstly, ensure that the PST files to be imported is not in use. Further, you can rename the PST file before importing it to the newly created Outlook profile. If the PST file has read only attribute, it is advised to change this attribute before importing the files. The damaged PST files can be repaired with Scanpst.exe or inbox repair tool utility.
However, if any of the above mentioned procedure fails to
fix Outlook Current Profile Error, you can try third party Outlook PST repair software. It is best in repairing PST corruption and resolving Outlook error including Outlook Current Profile Error messages.
