Which is the best way to fix ‘fatal error 80040900’?


Last morning when I start my Outlook I find that a mail has come in my inbox. That was my official mail so go to save that. When I tried to save that mail in the Outlook application I found below fatal error instead of saving mail message.

“Fatal Error 80040900”

From that time I get unable to access the saved files in Outlook PST. Since I have saved lost of official files on Outlook so I have to fix “fatal error 80040900” so that I can access my saved files. Can any one have faced this type of Outlook error? Please help me in resolving such problem.

lucydisuza 		Few days before I had faced the same type of Outlook error with my PST files. I was very frustrated because my entire Outlook PST file becomes inaccessible and whenever I was opening this application it shows a “Fatal error 80040900”. To find out the solution of the error I search on the Web and found that I have to know the cause of the error first. I found that size of Outlook pst file is more responsible for such kind of Outlook error.

When the size of PST file exceeds 2GB or 4GB then such Outlook error occurs. In this condition PST file may gets corrupt and the items of PST file becomes inaccessible. In order to resolve this problem I used third party PST repair software. After using this tool I solved ‘Fatal error 80040900’. After using this software all the PST file becomes accessible and I get my files again. I my view you should also use this tool to fix fata error 80040900.
