How to fix Client Error: 0x80040600 in MS Outlook?


I have been using MS Outlook for a long time as an email client. Whenever I have to send emails or receive emails and to save other important messages I usually use this tool. But last night when I was trying to send email then got an error message on the screen:

“Client Error: 0x80040600”

After appearing the above error message I become unable to send or receive emails. The data that was saved in Outlook pst file become inaccessible. I am very frustrated from that time. I have to make my Outlook as earlier. Can any one help me in finding out the solution of the given problem?

monicatavera 		The error that you have encountered is one of the most common errors. Due to many reasons “Client Error: 0x80040600” appears on the Outlook screen. Most commonly when you try to access emails or try to send emails then it appears on the screen:

“Client Error: 0x80040600”
Or
“An unknown error has occurred. 0x80040600”

After having the above error message you will encounter several peculiar behavior of Outlook and it quits abruptly. At the time of launching or accessing the application it usually appears on the screen. In this condition it becomes quite a hassle to view email messages and other information. In order to fix “Client Error: 0x80040600” first you should run Inbox Repair tool. Since this error generally occurs when the PST file of Outlook corrupts or damaged. So it is necessary to repair PST file. But most of the time it has been found that Inbox Repair Tool fails to repair PST file and your problem remains same. In this situation third party PST repair tool repairs Scanpst.exe file and make Outlook accessible.
