How to resolve SCNPST32.DLL was not found error?


While using Outlook application I found that some of my PST file becomes inaccessible. I thought that Outlook.pst file has damaged due to large size problem. I go to run Inbox repair tool as SCANPST but it wants SCNPST32.DLL. I use Windows XP and MS Outlook 2007 version. When I go to open Inbox repair tool I get scnpst32.dll not found error. In this condition when I go to open the inbuilt repair tool I get “scnpst32.dll was not found. Re installing the application may fix this” error.

After getting this error message I am very upset because I have saved so many important information in Outlook pst file. I have to repair this PST file any how so that my inaccessible PST file becomes accessible. Have you time to resolve this situation? Please tell me one of the best way by which I can easily repair my files.

soumengonzalvis 		Your files may be very important foe you but to make them accessible you will have to repair Outlook PST file any how. The above error condition arises because either Scanpst32.dll is missing, corrupted or unregistered. This .DLL file is mostly required to run Inbox repair tool. In some of the critical damage this dll file doesn’t response and becomes corrupt. But don’t worry you have still option to repair your pst file some of them are-

1. If you want to repair corrupted PST file without repairing tool you can move the PST file to next computer and scan the PST file and Scnpst32.dll file.

2. If you want to download the Scanpst.exe from the net then replace the corrupted Scanpst.exe with another one.

3. To register the Scanpst32.dll file you can run below command:-

regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCNPST32.DLL.

4. You can also try to repair corrupted dll file.

You can also reinstall your Outlook application but this is not the perfect way to get back your lost or inaccessible files. You can also use third party utility that is Inbox repair Tool. It is professional PST repair software which repairs scanpst32.dll file and makes accessible you’re all PST file. This repair tool is available in user friendly wizard.
